Raymond James Stadium Tampa, Florida

Situation

Raymond James Stadium, home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, hired PCS to design and install a turnkey video control room and multi-media display system.

The video control room would feed two Daktronics LED scoreboards and the network feed areas located at the stadium’s ground level. The display system would be used to show programming in the four Club Section restaurants.

All work had to be completed before the Bucs’ first game. And since the control room and display system were slated to be installed at the end of the construction schedule, PCS had to work within an extremely tight timeline.

Solution

PCS used its proven method of pre-planning and off-site system staging to stay within the tight installation schedule and meet the stadium opening deadline.

We teamed with WJHW, Dallas, Texas, to design and implement a video control room system that incorporated new server-based technology and cutting-edge sports playback and recording equipment; and with Electrosonic Systems, Inc., to provide the multi-media display system.

Results

Everything was up and running for the opening game. The PCS-designed state-of-the-art video control room does everything the Bucs want it to do.

PCS installed 4x4 multi-media video display systems in four Club Sections, over 1,100 televisions, updated the RF system infrastructure, and designed custom mounting brackets for the private suites, press area and owner’s box.

Thanks to PCS, the fans at Raymond James will be able to catch every minute of the action on the field from virtually anywhere in the stadium.
